This training explores how language shapes our sense of belonging, examining the impact of exclusionary practices like othering and microaggressions while offering strategies for gender inclusivity and challenging ableist language. Participants will learn to recognize and avoid subtle forms of discrimination in speech, developing skills to foster more inclusive and accessible environments through thoughtful language choices in both personal and professional settings.

Implicit Bias – Training – 1 hour

This training presentation explores implicit bias, covering its definition, impact, and strategies for overcoming personal biases. It includes interactive elements like an implicit bias test and discusses allyship, providing participants with tools to recognize and challenge biases while supporting marginalized groups.

It covers important terminology, including various types of attraction and the split attraction model, to help understand the diverse experiences of asexual and aromantic individuals. Safe Zone Training – Workshop – 2 hours

Safe Zone training is an opportunity to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. Co-created by Meg Bolger and Sam Killermann in 2013, the SZP has become the go-to resource for anyone looking to add some Safe Zone to their life.

Collaborating With Indigenous Communities – Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop focuses on collaborating with Indigenous communities, covering key concepts such as terminology, historical context, and principles for building respectful partnerships. It emphasizes understanding Indigenous knowledge systems, respecting cultural differences, and provides guidance on engaging in meaningful collaboration, including the concept of free, prior, and informed consent.

Writing project plans, creating branding, grant writing, you name it! I can also help write OKRs, SOPs and set up a management system. I’m happy to discuss other needs too. My approach is grounded in the organization’s mission and vision as well as leveraging the team’s skills. I account for multigenerational technology capabilities. In the end, you will have efficient and effective management and operations that are suited best for your organization.

Volunteer Management

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of volunteers from across the world. From WE CAN Africa (a project of We, The World) to a Bay Area human-wildlife conflict prevention working group, I have overseen volunteers across numerous sectors. My goal is to not only build volunteer’s existing skills but open them up to opportunities to learn new interests. One of the best gifts we can give volunteers are the skills to give them a healthy and happy future.
